IN YOGANANDA’S FOOTSTEPS INDIA TOUR FOR DEVOTEES OF PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA (SRF/YSS)
Hello fellow devotees and friends of SRF,
We, Network Tours have been organizing many tours for SRF Devotees – “In Yogananda’s Footsteps” India Tour that includes participation in the YSS Sangam Retreat in the YSS Ashrams located in Ranchi, Dakshineswar and Noida. Based on feedback from many devotees and our 25+ years of experience in organizing customized tours, Network Tours, New Delhi, has arranged fabulous 22 to 30 day group tours that combines the Sadhana Sangam spiritual experiences with our popular “In Yogananda’s Footsteps” India Tour. The tour especially designed to visit many of the special locations mentioned in “Autobiography of a Yogi.” Year 2025 was very special as our groups of SRF devotees participated in the Kumbh Mela 2025 at Prayagraj. The experience was incredible. This was our third Kumbh Mela with the YSS devotees – 2001, 2013 & 2025. We were all truly blessed to be part of this spiritual experience.
Network Tours has organized several successful spiritual “In Yogananda’s Footsteps” India tours since 2001 for SRF devotees and friends. Besides doing small, personalised group of 04-10 devotees every year, we have organised large group tours during the Kumbh Mela 2001, 2013 & 2025. Our strength is in serving repeat travellers from the SRF families who feel India is their second home. We also do small, personalized group tours for SRF Devotees who would like to stay in 5* hotels.

Our India Footsteps Tours generally has a duration of around 28 days. However, to make it easy for devotees who cannot stay away from work / home for long duration, we are offering our February 2027 signature “India Footsteps Tour” with a shorter duration and will manage to include a lifetime experience of visiting Guruji’s sites. This tour coincides with the special session being held by Br Chidanandagiri at Noida YSS Ashram (Delhi) from 26-28 February 2027. You have an option to extend the tour by 03 days and attend this beautiful session.
We have divided the February 2027 ” In Yogananda’s Footsteps” India Pilgrimage Tour into two parts:
- Main Footsteps Tour – from 08th February to 26th February’2027.
- Extension Tour to visit Noida YSS Ashram and attend special session to be held by Br. Chidananda on 27th February 2027.

08 Feb – 10 Feb. 03 days in Delhi, Vrindavan, Mathura and Agra. Land in Delhi. Meditate at the YSS Kendra in Delhi & visit the spiritual sites. Enjoy amazing rickshaw ride in the old city in Delhi.
11 Feb – 13 Feb. 02 days in Varanasi: Enjoy world’s oldest living city with our experienced spiritual guide. Enjoy two boat rides on the Holy River Ganges — one at sunset on a big boat and the other at sunrise on a small boat. Varanasi is one of the most vibrant spiritual living cities in the world. We will spend some time at Lahiri Mahasaya’s home and meditate at the Anandamoyi Maa Ashram at Sunrise by the Ganges. Enjoy walking tours in the old city. Visit the World Heritage Buddhist site at Sarnath.
13 Feb – 15 Feb. 02 days in Ranchi. Spend two lovely days in the beautiful ambience of the YSS Ranchi Ashram — headquarters of YSS and Retreat Centre. Participate in all daily ashram activities including group energization and meditation.
15 Feb – 18 Feb. 03 days in Kolkata – YSS Dakshineswar: Stay at YSS Ashram in Dakshineswar for 03 nights. Visit Sri Yukteshwarji’s ashram site in Serampore, Paramahansa Yogananda’s boyhood and family home, Dakshineswar’s Kali Temple, Mother Teressa’s Kolkata home and convent, Swami Vivekananda’s home, Sharda Maa’s Ashram. Participate in daily YSS Ashram activities including group energization and meditation.
18 Feb – 22 Feb. 04 days in the foothills of the Himalayas and Dwarahat YSS Ashram. Participate in YSS Dwarahat Ashram activities including group energization and meditation. Visit Babaji’s Cave and enjoy the wonderful view of the high Himalayas at sunrise and sunset.
22 Feb – 25 Feb. 03 days in the High Himalayas – Rudraprayag and Rishikesh / Haridwar: Enjoy the Himalayan towns and the confluence of two holy rivers in Rudraprayag. Meditate on the banks of River Ganges at Sunrise, Holy Vashishta Cave in Rishikesh, Keshavananda Ashram and Anandamoyi Maa Ashram in Haridwar. Enjoy walking tour and the evening aarti in Rishikesh.
25 Feb – 26 Feb. 01 day in Delhi: Enjoy last minute shopping in Delhi and any extra sightseeing of group choice. Take flight back to your home on 26th Feb or join the Extension Tour to Noida to attend the special session with Br. Chidanandagiri from 26-28 Feb – highly recommended.

- As many devotees have requested, the SRF/YSS spiritual tour “In Yogananda’s Footsteps” India Tour now includes YSS Ashram stays whenever possible, in lieu of hotel accommodations.
- Note that ashram accommodations can be quite austere. We suggest that first-time visitors consider enhancing their first Indian experience by staying in 4-star hotels instead of ashrams and budget hotels. The additional comfort of nicer hotels can be easily arranged for a modest increase in cost.
- The detailed itinerary will be sent to you upon request or after submitting your first deposit.
- Customized pre-tour and post-tour options1 may be arranged upon request.
- We plan to start a group mailing list of the tour participants. The purpose will be sharing information and options on a regular basis relating to the tour, such as:
