Situated on an idyllic beach of silver white sand along the forested banks of the Ganga river, 28 kms upriver from the town of Rishikesh, in the Garhwal Himalayas, we set up a semi permanent tented camp for the duration of the rafting season on the Ganga, Alaknanda & Bhagirathi rivers. The 'Quick Get Away' trips are based out of here and the multi day expedition trips on the Alaknanda & Bhagirathi, dock in here for the Ganga section of the river. |

| Equipment & Safety |
|
| Top of the line rafting equipment, and an unblemished safety record are hallmarks of the camp. The rafts are 16 - 21 ft inflatable raft made from a reinforced rubber fabric called 'hypalon'. Rafts are maneuvered by an oar / paddle combination where complete control rests with your professionally trained river guide, but everyone has a chance to be involved with paddling and powering the raft. The minimum age for a complete rafting trip is 14 yrs, 16 yrs for multi day expedition trips. But younger children are still given certain sections suitable for them. This depends entirely on the discretion of the river guide and his reading of conditions. All trips carry full safety and emergency gear and at the beginning of every trip a complete safety briefing is given to all. Guests are provided with life jackets and helmets, waterproof bags for personal gear and cameras are carried on every raft. All trips (unless particularly indicated) are suitable for beginners; no previous experience or special skills are required. |

| » Day 1 |
|
| Early morning departure from Delhi by road or train. Road: Leave Delhi at 0600 hrs, arrive at camp by lunch. Train: Shatabdi Express departs New Delhi Railway station at 0700 Hrs.Arrives Haridwar at 1120hrs.Drive for an hour and 30 mins from Haridwar to Camp. Settle into Camp. After lunch.Enjoy a raft ride,an 8 km initiation section of the Ganga river starting from Camp, ending at Shivpuri.A grade III river section with some fun rapids. Rafts are parked at Shivpuri and we drive back to Camp for a late tea.A Campfire and dinner under the starlight. Overnight in Camp. |

| Breakfast.Drive down to Shivpuri, embark for rafting, for a great white water day. A couple of Grade IV rapids ensures excitement.We have a lunch en route. The run ends at Rishikesh. For the 2 day 1 night option : Drive back to Delhi after the run or drive down to Hardwar to connect with the Shatabdi Express,departing Haridwar at 1800 hrs. Arrive Delhi 2230 hrs. For the 2 day 2 night option : We drive back to Camp for an afternoon of beach games, leisure, bird watching, a short hike into the neighbouring village, laze swim and relax, meditate. Evening around the campfire. Dinner Overnight in Camp. Depart next morning after breakfast. |

| After breakfast, we drive upstream approximately 8/9 kms to Kaudiyala.The rafts are put in here and we embark on another exhilarating white water morning with thrilling rapids like 'Daniells Dip' and 'The Wall'- Raft back into Camp for lunch. Drive back to Delhi after or drive down to Haridwar, catch the Shatabdi Express back. Departs Haridwar 1800 hrs. Arrive in Delhi 2230 hrs. |

|
| Option of a hike into the surrounding mountains,visiting some of the small hill villages,meeting the people & exploring the forested trails or for those who prefer, a relaxed day in Camp to just enjoy the swim, read, write, paint, walk along the beach, explore on your own. Evening campfire, overnight in Camp. Drive back to Delhi after or drive down to Haridwar, catch the Shatabdi Express back that departs from Haridwar 1800 hrs. Arrives Delhi 2230 hrs. |
