Travel in royal style with the 'Palace on Wheels'. This new air-conditioned train, which was modeled after the saloon cars the former maharajahs traveled in, takes you on a trip through the glorious Rajasthan.

Travel route : Delhi- Jaipur- Chittorgarh-Udaipur-Sawai Madophur (Ranthambore)- Jaisalmer- Jodhpur - Bharatpur-Agra-Delhi. Departure dates from Delhi (Cantonment Station). Every Wednesday from September to April.

Duration of the trip 8 days and 7 nights. Departure from Delhi on Wednesday night, return to Delhi on the morning of the following Wednesday.Facilities in the 'Palace on Wheels'.

The 'Palace on Wheels' has 52 sleeping compartments with 2 beds each, not superimposed but next to each other. The air-conditioned train travels at gentle speed so that you can fully admire the changing landscapes.

Day 1 : Wednesday

Delhi Cantonment Station meeting point (train station). Dinner between 19:30 and 22:30, Departure at 22:45.

Day 2: Thursday

Arrive at Jaipur at 08:30. Breakfast on the train, followed by a tour of the city and lunch at the hotel. Dinner with cultural program in the Nahargarh Citadel, an ancient royal fort, or in the Man Singh Hotel. Departure at 22:10.

First stop is Jaipur, which was built at the beginning of the 18th century by Maharaja Jai. Singh 11. The 'rose-coloured city' is surrounded by city walls with 7 towers. Worth visiting are the city palace and the Sawai-Man-Singh Museum right next to it.The precision of the installations at the Jantar-Mantar Observatories continues to amaze, even today. But the real jewel of Jaipur is the Hawa Mahal, the 'Palace of the Winds', a stone facade with countless finely chiseled lattice-work walls.

12 km outside Jaipur is the fortified Amber Palace, which you can ride up to on the back of an elephant. The Amber's rooms are world famous for the breathtaking variety of the decorations and the superb mirrored halls.
