| Essential Information: for Pilgrims on Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. |
This yatra to the sacred land of Kailash Mansarovar is a once in a lifetime opportunity to undertake such a holy pilgrimage. it is, a very treacherous and difficult journey with regard to comfort and facilities. there is no running water or toilet facilities at all. Bathing is done by buckets in a makeshift tent, and toilets are either in makeshift tents or simply the nearby woods. Other than Kathmandu and Lhasa even the "hotels" are barely up to lowest Western standard. people will mostly be sleeping on the floor or on cots, several people per room. Other than Kathmandu and Lhasa there are no room facilities for private rooms, private bathrooms or anything like that. The roads are dirt and unpaved for much of the journey and there is nowhere to stop for food, beverage, bathroom, phone call etc. |
Note: We would be happy to organize a specialized, tailor-made tour for you to suit your requirements. |
